WPx Professional Writing Goals
Effective business communication sends appropriate messages to the intended audience in a concise and persuasive style of writing. To achieve this goal, students first must develop a strategy defining, among other things, the goal, the target audience, the benefits to offer the audience. The specific content is defined by brainstorming, editing, and reviewing/revising to achieve a clear and concise global and local organization. Finally, the style of writing must display both confidence and a courteous style.

WPx Small Lab Training Methods
WPx training focuses on the real-world writing needs of the professional student in the small lab. Actual writing from the work place is used. Through examples, peer review, and practice the student learns to become his or her own editor able to identify his or her own writing strengths and patterns of error. The ultimate goal is to create a self-confident writer capable of using a professional writing process to create disciplined and well-organize documents appropriate to each business need.
